One Should Never Underestimate the Enemy: Oganovski

Our armed forces have brilliantly accomplished their tasks, but under no circumstances do we have the right to underestimate the opponent. This was stated by the president of the Union of Fighters for the Liberation of Artsakh, Hero of Artsakh, Major General Samvel Karapetyan (Oganovski) in an interview with NEWS.am, referring to the military operations that took place in the northeastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border over the past week.

In response to the media's observation about whether the losses sustained by the opponent during these operations imply that the Azerbaijani army is not combat-ready, General Oganovski responded: “Our armed forces have brilliantly accomplished the tasks set before them, but under no circumstances do we have the right to underestimate the opponent. They underestimated us in the past and found themselves in serious trouble; one should never underestimate the enemy,” he stated.

It is worth noting that days ago, when Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed dissatisfaction during a cabinet meeting, stating that only 150 out of several thousand wished to enlist against the backdrop of a mass demonstration, the Union of Fighters for the Liberation of Artsakh announced that there is an army of over thirteen thousand volunteers ready to reinforce the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Artsakh at a moment's notice to defend their homeland.
