New Natural Gas Tariffs Effective from July 19

As of July 19, the decision regarding natural gas tariffs sold to consumers by Gazprom Armenia CJSC has come into effect, as reported by the company’s public relations service. The tariffs for natural gas sold to residential consumers will remain unchanged, while new tariffs will be implemented for some groups of consumers.

According to the decision by the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia, the following tariffs have been established:

1. For socially vulnerable households, as per the Government's decision No. 1122-N of November 3, 2016:
   • a. For up to 600 cubic meters of natural gas annually: 100,000 AMD per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT),
   • b. For natural gas consumption exceeding 600 cubic meters: 139,000 AMD per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT).
2. For greenhouse farms in the agricultural sector:
   • a. From November 1 to March 31 inclusive: Equivalent of 224 USD per 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas consumed (including VAT),
   • b. From April 1 to October 31 inclusive:
     • For up to 10,000 cubic meters of natural gas per month: 139,000 AMD per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT),
     • For natural gas consumption exceeding 10,000 cubic meters: Equivalent of 255.91 USD per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT).
3. For processors in the agricultural sector engaged in the production of canned goods, beverages, and dairy products: Equivalent of 224 USD per 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas consumed (including VAT).
4. For other consumers not covered by points 1-3 (including thermal power plants):
   • For up to 10,000 cubic meters of natural gas per month: 139,000 AMD per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT),
   • For natural gas consumption exceeding 10,000 cubic meters: Equivalent of 255.91 USD per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT).

The tariffs for natural gas sold to entities licensed to produce electricity in thermal power plants will take effect from August 1, 2020.
