Hostage Bus Passengers in Lutsk Released; Captor Arrested
It was recently reported that the passengers taken hostage in a bus in Lutsk, Ukraine, have been released. The man who held them captive has been arrested by special forces.
Earlier, the terrorist who took the bus passengers hostage released three individuals. "The Deputy Head of the National Police, Yevgeny Koval, brought out three hostages," the minister wrote on Twitter. According to Ukrainian media, the terrorist released a pregnant woman, a child, and an elderly woman.
It should be noted that the man who took the passengers hostage demanded a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The request was fulfilled, and President Zelensky personally spoke with the captor. There were no injuries among the hostages.
Ukrainian police have heightened control in nine regions of the country.
