VIDEO: Camera Captures Yesterday's Car Accident in Yerevan
The police have identified the injured and drivers involved in a serious car accident that occurred yesterday, July 21, at the intersection of Paruir Sevak and Ulnetsi streets in Yerevan.
According to Shamshyan.com, it has been established that the Skoda was driven by 56-year-old Armen Shahbazyan, a resident of Yerevan, while the Mercedes was operated by 56-year-old Ashot Simonian, also from Yerevan. Passengers from the Mercedes, 66-year-old Grigor Makvetsyan and Hakob Sahakyan, were taken to the Mikhailen Medical Center, and their details are currently being confirmed. A 72-year-old resident of Yerevan, Zhilbert Galstyan, was moved to the number 1 university hospital, while Skoda driver A. Shahbazyan was transported to the Izmirlian Medical Center.
According to sources, A. Shahbazyan works as an assistant to the rector at the Yerevan State Pedagogical University. The website presents a moment captured by the camera during the accident. Earlier reports indicated that on July 21, around 19:40, a collision occurred between a Mercedes and a Skoda children’s car at the intersection of Paruir Sevak and Ulnetsi streets. Four individuals with bodily injuries were taken to the number 1 university hospital.
Civilians were the first to provide assistance to the injured, while two were extricated from the Mercedes by the rapidly arriving responders from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
