Discussion on the Progress of ANIF's Efforts to Attract New Investment Programs

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a consultation meeting during which the interim report of the Armenian National Interests Fund (ANIF) on the "Entrepreneur+State Anti-Crisis Investments" investment fund was discussed.

Details regarding the implementation of investment programs within the framework of public-private partnerships were presented during the discussion. It was reported that there are currently 6-7 investment projects planned across various sectors in the discussion phase with foreign investors, but their swift advancement and realization are somewhat hindered by border closures due to the coronavirus pandemic. Despite this, work is ongoing, and ANIF will present a new report in a month.

Additionally, several other proposals related to promoting investments were presented, specifically concerning the implementation mechanisms, criteria, and risk management tools. An exchange of ideas took place, discussing other concepts that could facilitate attracting investments.

Prime Minister Pashinyan instructed the responsible parties to continue working on anti-crisis economic measures and to present new proposals.
