Under the Mask of a Fighter Devoted to the Homeland, You Make Money: Aram Sargsyan on the 'Patriotic Environmentalists' Camping Along the Amulsar Road

Yesterday was Vardavar, a holiday that also highlighted the serious problems facing Lake Sevan—issues such as sewage, waste from fish farms, and numerous environmental concerns that I don't fully understand since I'm not an environmentalist. This was stated on the Facebook page of Aram Sargsyan, the leader of the Republic Party.

“To those ‘concerned’ about Sevan and camping in a wagon along the Amulsar road, paid per diem from Russia, where are you? Why aren’t you wearing a burlap sack and pouring ashes on your heads to at least appear realistic? You won’t do that because nobody pays for Sevan, and you, making money under the mask of fighters devoted to the homeland, are neglecting the Republic of Armenia, the state, the law, harming the economy, cutting off the livelihoods, including that of the soldier's bread and ammunition money—the soldier who guards your home and security. Stand firm in your places, guys; what matters is the state and the soldier, not just being paid on time without delays.”
