Illegal Stalls Demolished in Kentron and Arabkir Administrative Districts
The illegal stalls have been demolished through the joint efforts of the Department of Trade and Services of the Yerevan Municipality and the staff of the Kentron administrative district. This information has been reported by the Yerevan Municipality.
“In July 2017, the first book kiosk was opened at the intersection of Isaakyan and Teryan streets in Yerevan. Later, 4 more book kiosks were installed in various parts of central Yerevan. At that time, it was announced that only books and tickets for museums and theaters would be sold at these kiosks.
However, shortly after, the kiosks ceased to serve their intended purpose. For example, a stall on Abovyan Street began selling mobile phones.
All the kiosks have been demolished through the joint efforts of the Yerevan Municipality’s Department of Trade and Services and the Kentron administrative district staff. Additionally, an illegally installed pavilion in the Circular Park was also demolished, as well as an illegal stall placed on the sidewalk in the Arabkir administrative district,” the municipality's Facebook post stated.
