Abnormal High Temperature Expected in Some Regions of Armenia, Reaching +39…+41 Degrees
From July 20-21, abnormal high temperatures are expected in the Ararat and Armavir regions, the foothills of Aragatsotn, the valleys of Syunik, and Yerevan, with daytime temperatures reaching +39…+41 degrees Celsius. During these days, high fire hazard conditions are also anticipated in the valley and foothill areas of the republic, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is expected to be above normal. It is advised to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
On July 20, dry weather is expected during the day throughout the republic. On July 21 and 25, after noon, isolated areas may experience rain and thunderstorms, with wind gusts of 20-25 m/s during the storms. Hail is also expected in some locations.
The wind will be southwest at 3-8 m/s. On July 20, the temperature will increase by 2-3 degrees, while from July 22-23, it will decrease by 8-10 degrees.
In Yerevan, dry weather is expected during the day on July 20 and 21, with intermittent rain and thunderstorms anticipated on July 22-23, and from July 24-25 after noon, with wind gusts of 17-20 m/s during the storms.
