155 Liberty 2 Type Pediatric Wheelchairs Provided to the Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health of Armenia reports that for the purpose of improving the rehabilitation process and quality of life for children with neuro-orthopedic disorders, 155 "Liberty 2" type pediatric wheelchairs have been provided to the ministry as part of humanitarian aid by the organization "UCP Wheels for Humanity." These wheelchairs have been distributed among six medical organizations specializing in this issue, with three allocated for inpatient use and the remaining 137 designated for children with neuro-orthopedic issues.

The wheelchairs will be given to children whose functional status has been assessed at levels 4 or 5 according to the Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS 4,5). They are specifically adapted for this group of children, equipped with accessories for controlling head position and neck angle, hip angle, shoulder and trunk positioning, and are multifunctional, suitable for both urban and rural road conditions.
