COVID-19 Infections Rise at Gyumri's Care Home; Four Residents Set to Be Discharged
Three more residents at Gyumri’s care home have tested positive for COVID-19. Nune Grigoryan, head of the public relations department for the Red Cross, confirmed this in an interview with NEWS.am on July 18.
“Two days ago, 35 residents were tested, and three of those tested positive,” said Grigoryan, adding that their condition is stable and they have been isolated at the facility.
She also noted that four of the ten residents currently at the Spitak medical center will be discharged tomorrow.
It is worth mentioning that a total of 56 residents (now 59) and 12 staff members at the care center have been confirmed to have contracted the virus, with a total of five fatalities reported, one of which had a negative test result.
