The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Shushan Stepanyan, wrote on her Facebook page: "Around 03:40 overnight, the positions of the Armenian Armed Forces noticed enemy movement. Transitioning to circular defense, Armenian units prevented an enemy sabotage infiltration attempt.

After intense fighting, the enemy was repelled with losses. Subsequently, Azerbaijani units began shelling the villages of Ay gepar and Movses at 05:20, using mortars and D-30 howitzers. The fire is still ongoing at this time.

The Armenian Armed Forces are neutralizing provocations from the Azerbaijani armed forces. This is the first serious violation of the fragile ceasefire established since yesterday at 00:15."
