Fourth Declaration of State of Emergency Should Serve as a Wake-Up Call for All, Says Tigran Avinyan

During the extraordinary session of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan stated that the fourth declaration of a state of emergency should serve as a heightened alert for everyone.

“The risks that justify a state of emergency in the country have not been neutralized. The situation related to the pandemic remains concerning, yet manageable. Expectations are high that there will be no need to extend the state of emergency further.

We are currently considering legislative amendments related to ensuring the sanitary-epidemiological safety of the population in emergency situations,” said the Minister of Emergency Situations.

He reported that as of today, the number of confirmed infections has reached 32,151, of which 1,530 are currently receiving treatment. “We have about 20,000 recoveries and 573 deaths. 546 people are in serious condition, and 111 are in critical condition. 43 patients are connected to lung ventilation devices. Approximately 10,000 individuals are being treated at home,” noted Tigran Avinyan.
