Azerbaijani Users Discuss Loss of Two Positions and Death of 17 People: Arzrun Hovhannisyan

Azerbaijani users are discussing the death of 17 people. This was reported by Arzrun Hovhannisyan, the head of the Command and Staff Faculty at the Vazgen Sargsyan Military University of the Republic of Armenia, in a Facebook post.

“The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, David Tonoyan, speaks of the occupation of new favorable positions, while Azerbaijani users talk about the loss of two positions and the death of 17 people,” he wrote.

Earlier, Hovhannisyan stated: “The adversary has not only suffered human losses. They also lost an expensive UAV.” He previously reported that, according to confirmed information, the adversary has 3, but it is more likely that there are more casualties.

Let us remind you that Azerbaijani soldiers attempted to violate the state border of Armenia in the Tavush direction on July 12. Following a warning from the Armenian side, the Azerbaijani soldiers returned to their positions, leaving behind a UAZ vehicle. Shortly after, at 13:45, the Azerbaijani armed forces attempted to seize the Armenian armed forces' border position again, using artillery fire, but were suppressed by the Armenian side and were pushed back, suffering losses.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported that as a result of the incident on July 12, two Azerbaijani servicemen were killed, and five others were injured.
