Intense Thunderstorm-like Rain Expected in Some Regions, Hail Possible: Ministry of Emergency Situations

Due to the penetration of a cyclone from the Black Sea, on July 12-13, particularly in the evening hours, intense thunderstorm-like rain is anticipated in some regions of the republic, with possible hail in certain areas. Strong winds, with gusts up to 25-30 m/s, are expected during thunderstorms. The population is advised to avoid outdoor areas during thunderstorms.

In the territory of the republic, on July 12 and from 14-17 in certain regions, and on the 13th in a significant part of the regions, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected at night and after noon, with wind intensification of 25-30 m/s during the thunderstorms. Hail is also expected in some areas. Winds will be northwestern, ranging from 3-8 m/s. The temperature is gradually expected to rise by 3-5 degrees on July 14-15.

In Yerevan, from the night of July 12-14 and during the evening hours, short-term rain and thunderstorms are anticipated, with wind intensification expected at 20-25 m/s during the thunderstorms. From July 15-17, dry weather is expected.
