Tax Authority Announces Refund Process for Cash Register Prepayments

The State Revenue Committee has informed that as a result of the liberalization of the cash register machinery market, private organizations are exclusively engaged in the process of implementing cash register machines, as well as software development and servicing of the devices.

The "Cash Register Machines Implementation Office" has issued conformity certificates to four organizations as per the Government of Armenia's decision No. 1419-N on November 8, 2012. These organizations are:

• Smart Solutions LLC - Cash register model Pax S 900 (phone: +374 60 40 00 05)
• Inntek LLC - Cash register model VEGA 3000 (phone: +374 60 50 50 70)
• Doktechnick LLC - Cash register model Paymob A90 (phones: +374 10 52 59 93, +374 10 56 67 81, +374 91 00 09 28, +374 91 00 09 25)
• Touch Master LLC - Cash register model Aisino A90 (phone: +374 60 50 60 27)

A list of organizations that have received conformity certificates as per the Government of Armenia's decision No. 1419-N on November 8, 2012, is available on the official website of the State Revenue Committee, under the "Electronic Services" section of the tax service's page in the "New Generation Cash Registers" subsection.

It should be noted that the "Cash Register Machines Implementation Office" will provide cash registers only to taxpaying entities registered and operating in border villages included in the list established by the Government of Armenia's decision No. 713 on October 17, 1998, based on the Government's decision No. 861 on July 20, 2017.

In light of this, we inform that applications for acquiring cash registers will receive a status of "rejected" and that prepayments made to the account of the "Cash Register Machines Implementation Office" are subject to refund.

Considering the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), to avoid queues, the committee encourages businesses or their authorized representatives to submit applications and letters electronically via email at [email protected]. The "Cash Register Machines Implementation Office" should only be visited in cases of strict necessity. Phone lines are also available at 060 544 994 or 060 544 910.

To recalculate or get a refund of the prepayment, the following documents need to be submitted:

• A copy of the application
• A copy of the payment order
• A copy of the certificate issued by the State Register of Legal Entities of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia
• Copies of passport or identification card
• A power of attorney, with a copy of the passport or identification card of the authorized individual attached.
