Who Can Avoid Wearing Masks in Open Spaces: The Chief of Police's New Decision
The Chief of Police of Armenia, Tigran Avinyan, has signed a new decision to amend decision No. 63 of the Chief of Police dated May 3, 2020.
“Guided by the Government of the Republic of Armenia's decision No. 298-N dated March 16, 2020, 1. In point 6 of the Chief of Police's decision No. 63 dated May 3, 2020, titled ‘Temporary Restrictions Applied Throughout the Territory of the Republic of Armenia,’ a new paragraph should be added after the word ‘carried out’ stating: ‘Individuals with chronic respiratory diseases, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, or bronchitis with severe respiratory failure, as well as those with functional classes 3 and 4 chronic heart failure, may not wear masks in public open spaces, provided that they have a medical document confirming the existence of the relevant disease,’” the decision states.
This decision will come into force on July 8, 2020, at 23:59.
