Incident Near Writers’ Union Building: Gunshots Heard
On June 20, an incident occurred in Yerevan accompanied by gunfire. According to SHAMSHYAN.com, at around 6:00 PM, the Arabkir police received a report that gunshots were heard near the Writers’ Union building on Baghramyan Avenue.
While the police were trying to clarify the circumstances of the incident at the scene, a report came in from the number 1 clinical hospital to the Arabkir police about a citizen being transferred with "lacerations to the facial area and the upper eyelid of the left eye." The police identified the injured individual as Karen Gh., a resident of the Davitashen administrative district of Yerevan, who was wounded as a result of the gunfire near the Writers’ Union.
After receiving first aid at the number 1 clinical hospital, he was transferred to the Malayan Eye Clinic with a diagnosis of "left eye injury." The investigative and community police units of the Arabkir police department determined that Karen Gh. had argued with Denis A., a resident of Kotayk province, near the Writers’ Union, during which Denis A. shot Karen Gh. with a gun he had in his possession, causing the injury.
According to reports, Denis A. voluntarily presented himself to the Arabkir police on June 22.
