In the capital of Russia, Moscow, unusually high and heavy rainfall has been recorded, causing several streets to be submerged. Online, people are coining phrases such as, "Moscow is swimming: the streets have turned into the sea." Due to the torrential rain, roads, underpasses, and stations have been flooded, leading to traffic blockages in certain areas. In some parts of the city, Muscovites had to literally swim, whether on foot or in vehicles.
