Gegharkunik Police Find Assault Rifle, Shotgun, Grenade and Ammunition During Search

Based on operational data obtained within the framework of a criminal case, on June 19, under a court order, officers from the Main Department of Criminal Police and the Gegharkunik regional departments, as well as the Gavar division, conducted a search of the apartment of a 56-year-old man from the village of Gandzak.

During the search, they discovered a factory-numbered Kalashnikov assault rifle, 43 assault rifle cartridges, magazines for the rifle, a grenade with a detonator, and a factory-numbered pneumatic shotgun, among other items. The illegal weapons and ammunition have been seized and sent for examination. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing. This was reported by the Armenian Police.
