Shengavit Mayor and Staff Assault Employee for Refusing to Submit Resignation

According to Shamshyan.com, the investigative department of the Shengavit Police has initiated materials regarding the assault of an employee at the Shengavit Municipality by Shengavit administrative district head Razmik Mkrtchyan, the deputy head Hamlet Grigoryan, and assistant Andranik Minasyan.

On June 15, around 5:00 PM, in Hamlet Grigoryan's office, the mayor, deputy, and assistant assaulted 52-year-old Gevorg Poghosyan.

As reported by the website, during the assault, G. Poghosyan fell to the ground, yet that did not stop the assailants from continuing to strike him.

The reason was that G. Poghosyan, who works as a computer operator within the office of the Shengavit administrative district, was told by the mayor and deputy that he must submit a resignation letter. However, G. Poghosyan rejected the offer, after which the officials resorted to violence.
