Citizens Hand Over Illegal Weapons and Ammunition to Police

As a result of explanatory work by the officers of the Ashtarak police department, a citizen who called the police reported that illegal weapons had been left in an area known as "Ardzvi T'ver". Police in Ashtarak discovered an unregistered assault rifle and an empty magazine in that area.

A 32-year-old man living in the village voluntarily handed over a "TOZ" type shotgun without a factory number and 22 cartridges of an assault rifle to the police department in Gavar, claiming they belonged to his deceased grandfather.

Similarly, "TOZ" type shotguns were voluntarily handed over to the Tavush police department. A 43-year-old man from the village of Navur brought along shotguns, grenades with detonators, and ammunition for a rifle, stating that he had acquired them years ago and had kept them.

Thanks to the explanatory work of the police in Aparan, a citizen reported that he had left a firearm under the bridge at the monument in Aparan city. Police found an unregistered "Kalashnikov" assault rifle at the specified location.

A 34-year-old man from the village of Dzoraglukh also voluntarily surrendered an anti-tank grenade shell, an "F1" type grenade with a detonator, a magazine for an assault rifle, and belt ammunition to the police department in Aparan, claiming they belonged to his father who had passed away years ago.

As a result of the explanatory work by the officers in the Shengavit police department, a 56-year-old man from Nerkhin Charbakh voluntarily handed over a homemade pistol, grenade detonators, and over 80 cartridges of various calibers.

Cases of voluntary surrender and detection of illegal weapons and ammunition have also been recorded in the Erebuni police department and its Nubarashen division. Based on reports, police detected an assault rifle, an anti-tank shell, and cartridges. A 62-year-old man living in Nubarashen also voluntarily surrendered a hunting shotgun, a grenade with a detonator, and more than 100 cartridges. Another man in Nubarashen voluntarily handed over a "TOZ" type rifled firearm, a grenade with a detonator, magazines, and over 200 cartridges.

A 58-year-old man from Yerevan surrendered a double-barreled shotgun and over 330 cartridges to the Malatia police department, claiming they belonged to his deceased friend.

Thanks to the explanatory efforts of detectives in Kanaker-Zeytun, a 32-year-old resident of Yerevan voluntarily handed over a factory-numbered revolver and over 50 cartridges of various calibers.
