Major Traffic Accident in Tavush Province

A major traffic accident occurred yesterday in Tavush Province at around 22:10. A 31-year-old resident of Ijevan, Harutyun Kh., was driving a VAZ 2107 vehicle on the Yerevan-Ijevan highway at the 123rd km, near the Yegnik statue in Ijevan. Under still unknown circumstances, he veered off the roadway and overturned, landing in a gorge, reports Shamshyan.com.

As a result of the accident, a passenger, a 30-year-old resident of Ijevan, Grigor M., was hospitalized with bodily injuries at the Ijevan Medical Center. Officers from the 1st platoon of the 4th company of the 2nd traffic police battalion, led by platoon commander Edgar Suslyan, arrived at the scene. Investigative materials are being prepared by the investigator of the same platoon regarding the incident.
