Emergency Incident in Yerevan: Director Installs Secret Camera in Elos Epilation Cabin

An alarming report has emerged from the "Manana" beauty salon located at 25 Azatutyun Street in Yerevan. Evelina Hakobyan, a makeup artist at the salon, reached out to SHAMSHYAN.com to disclose a shocking incident involving the salon's director.

Hakobyan revealed that the director, without informing her or the clients, installed a hidden camera in her working room, where elos epilation services were also provided. “I have worked there for 12 years as a makeup artist and performed facial and full-body hair removal in my room. Before the coronavirus pandemic, there was never a camera in our room, and it is prohibited to place one since clients change clothes there. Even if a camera were to be installed, both I and the clients should have been informed beforehand. The director secretly drilled a hole in the wall and placed the camera, which operated from the 10th to the 20th of the month, recording everything, including my personal conversations on the phone. Women undress there, and I too have undressed for hair removal. Without our knowledge, everything we did while undressed has been recorded, as various women and girls come to this place. I accidentally discovered the camera when I noticed a blinking blue light. Upon examining the device, I found a chip that I couldn't open with my phone. I took it to a technician, and the chip was opened, revealing everything had been recorded,” she explained.

When the employee confronted the director about this invasive act, the director claimed it was necessary because she suspected her employee of stealing clients and money from her. “I told her that we are all naked in the footage, what have you done? She replied, ‘I did it for good reason; you have stolen clients from me.’ I insisted she prove it, to which she claimed I had stolen money and that the footage shows clients paying at the cash register,” Hakobyan said.

In response to these events, the employee has lodged a complaint with the National Security Service.
