Nelly Mikayelyan's Interviews Aim to Create an Atmosphere of Distrust Toward State Bodies, Says Investigative Committee

Citizen Nelly Mikayelyan is not participating in investigative actions based on her own petition without valid reasons, politicizing the circumstances of the criminal case and unnecessarily prolonging the preliminary investigation. This was reported by the Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

Based on the report of citizen Nelly Mikayelyan, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 178 (Fraud) part 3, point 1, and Article 325 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps, etc.) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, which is being investigated by the Division for Investigating Serious Crimes of the Yerevan Investigative Department. A comprehensive, thorough, and objective investigation is underway, resulting in the acquisition of sufficient evidence for making a final decision on the case.

However, victim Nelly Mikayelyan has submitted numerous motions to the investigative body to conduct investigative actions that have already been performed previously, and even without valid reasons, she does not participate in the investigative actions based on her petition, further politicizing the case and unnecessarily delaying the preliminary investigation.

Mikayelyan's regular interviews with the media are not grounded in the factual data of the criminal case and are aimed at creating an atmosphere of distrust toward state bodies within society.
