Thief Used Tool to Break Into Shop and Steal 400,000 Dram Worth of Cigarettes: Stolen Goods Missing
On May 7, at around 11:30 AM, a resident of the village of Aknaqboudyun reported to the Ijevan police that between May 6 and 7, someone had used a tool to break open the door of their shop on Gannini Street in Ijevan and stolen approximately 400,000 dram worth of cigarettes.
The law enforcement authorities examined the crime scene and prepared reports. As a result of necessary measures taken to identify the person responsible for the theft and recover the stolen goods, information was obtained suggesting that a 33-year-old resident of Independence Street in Ijevan may have committed the theft.
On June 3, the suspect was taken to the Ijevan police station and presented to the Tavush regional investigative department. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the theft. The circumstances are being clarified, and the investigation is ongoing.
