Car Slides 10 Meters into Gorge on Stepanavan-Vanadzor Highway; Injured Reported
Two fire-rescue crews from the Emergency Situations Ministry's Gegharkunik regional rescue unit have been dispatched to the scene. It was reported that at the 15th kilometer of the Stepanavan-Vanadzor highway, a BMW (driver: Telman M., born in 1984) veered off the road and slid approximately 10 meters into a gorge.
Before rescuers arrived, the injured individual, Arthur D. (born in 1985), was extricated from the vehicle by local bystanders and transported to Spitak Medical Center. Rescuers managed to pull Telman M. and Arsen P. (born in 1985) from the car. The injured parties were hospitalized at Spitak Medical Center, where their health conditions were assessed as moderate severity.
The rescuers also ensured that the vehicle was disconnected from the power source.
