31-Year-Old Man Detained for Theft from Bag in Yerevan

On May 20, the operational management center of the Yerevan city police received a report regarding a pickpocketing incident. A woman who called the police stated that at 2:20 PM, at the intersection of Mashtots Avenue and Khorenatsi Street, she noticed that her mobile phone was stolen from her bag.

Immediately, police operatives approached the citizen. Soon, officers from the 6th division of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Police determined that the theft might have been committed by a 31-year-old man. He was found on Mashtots Avenue and was taken to the Central Police Department on suspicion and provided explanations.
