Turkey Reports 1,704 New Coronavirus Cases and 53 Deaths in the Last Day

In Turkey, 1,704 new cases of coronavirus infection and 53 fatalities have been recorded in the past day. This was announced by the country's Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, according to NTV.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in Turkey has reached 141,475, with the death toll standing at 3,894. Over the course of the day, 3,109 individuals have recovered from the virus and been discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recoveries to 98,889, which constitutes 70% of those infected.

As of May 13 at 09:30, the total number of coronavirus cases worldwide stands at 4,342,847, with 292,899 deaths and 1,602,712 recoveries. The number of active infections globally is 2,400,894, of which 46,342 individuals, or 2%, are in critical condition.
