Stabbing Incident in Charentsavan Revealed

On January 9, 2020, at around 21:55, a report was received from the Charentsavan Medical Center regarding a 37-year-old resident who was admitted with stab wounds to the left side of the chest and lower jaw.

As part of the criminal case initiated by the Charentsavan investigative department of the Kotayk regional investigative committee, it was found that the man sustained these injuries during a dispute over domestic matters with a fellow citizen. The investigation has uncovered several circumstances surrounding the incident, including the identity of the person who allegedly committed the crime, a 39-year-old resident of Charentsavan.

On April 29, 2020, the prosecuting authority made a decision to charge him under part 1 of Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code, choosing arrest as a preventive measure and issuing a search warrant. As a result of investigative actions and operational-search measures, he was located, and charges were brought against him under part 1 of Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code (causing serious harm to health intentionally), with arrest selected as the preventive measure. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
