Major Car Accident in Syunik Province: Among the Injured is a Toddler

On May 12, around 19:00, 26-year-old Armen Safaryan from the village of Tegh, in circumstances that are still unclear, lost control of his VAZ 21214 vehicle with the license plate 94 FF 944 in the administrative area of Aravus village. The car veered off the road and rolled over several times for about 150 meters, ultimately ending up in a ravine.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, driver A. Safaryan, along with his passengers, 22-year-old Ruzanna Vandunts from Goris city and 2-year-old Erik Safaryan, were taken to the Goris Medical Center with injuries.

The photojournalist reports that the injured were transported to the hospital by a citizen who passed by in his Opel vehicle with license plate 10 LQ 055. Upon seeing the helpless victims, he offered assistance, but unfortunately crashed into a tree himself.

It has been noted that there were no road repair signs or safety lights in that area. According to reports, the Opel was driven by 38-year-old Genadik Ghavalbabunts from Tegh village, and his passenger, 60-year-old Artush Safaryan, also sustained injuries and was taken to Goris Medical Center. Investigations are ongoing regarding the circumstances of the incident.
