Illegal Tree Felling Registered in Vanadzor's National Archive Area, Damage Estimated at 585,000 AMD
The employees of the Environmental and Mining Inspection’s Lori Territorial Division have documented an illegal tree felling in the area of Vanadzor city's National Archive during their latest inspection tour. This information was reported by the Environmental and Mining Inspection.
On Paruyr Sevak Street, a total of 10 trees were illegally cut down by an unidentified individual, including 5 apple trees (with diameters of 34 cm, 32 cm, 28 cm, 26 cm, and 22 cm), 4 pear trees (with diameters of 22 cm, 20 cm, 12 cm, and 8 cm), and 1 fig tree (with a diameter of 40 cm).
The compensation amount for the damage caused to the plant life has been assessed at 585,000 AMD. The case materials have been sent to the Vanadzor division of the Lori regional police.
The Environmental and Mining Inspection urges the public to refrain from committing environmental violations and to preserve nature.
