Transgender Individuals Kidnap Girl in Lori Province
A girl was recently kidnapped in the Akhori community of Lori Province. Her relatives, in a heated state, approached the Tumanyan police, warning that if their daughter was not found, they would 'beat and smash' the abductors. The police have begun to investigate the matter.
According to Hraparak.am, it has become clear that the kidnapping was carried out by four individuals with non-traditional sexual orientations. 'They were transgender. The girl said she agreed to stay with them. They asked her if she knew who they were, and the girl replied that she liked them and that she was getting married. She was a normal, educated girl,' a source close to the Alaverdi police department reported.
The police's public relations and media department confirmed the news, stating: 'A report was received at the Tumanyan police department about losing contact with a relative. Yesterday, the girl came to the police and stated that she had left home of her own accord. The girl is an adult.'
Edgar Janoyan, the deputy head of the department, declined to comment on the information regarding sexual orientation.
