Car of Defense Ministry Employee Stolen in Artashat; Two Citizens Detained

On May 3, around 10:00 AM, Smbat Gasparyan, a 30-year-old resident of Artashat, reported to the police that his BMW car was stolen from in front of his house in the "Narek" neighborhood. This information was reported by Shamshyan.com.

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Division determined that the car was taken by 29-year-old Khachatur Khachaturyan, a resident of Yerevan. It was revealed that during an ambush on Jermuk Street in Vayk, the BMW was halted, after which Khachaturyan and his passenger, 28-year-old Arman Mkrtchyan, a resident of the Davitashen neighborhood in Yerevan, were detained on suspicion of car theft.

The victim, Gasparyan, works at the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
