54-Year-Old Man Arrested for Committing Violent Sexual Offenses Against a Minor

As a result of investigative and procedural actions conducted by the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Syunik, new details have emerged regarding the case of violent sexual offenses committed against a child born in 2008, including the identity of the alleged perpetrator. This information was reported by the Investigative Committee.

Based on sufficient evidence, a 54-year-old resident of the Sisian community has been charged with committing an act stipulated in paragraph 2 of part 3 of Article 139 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (violent sexual actions). He has been arrested.

To clarify several significant circumstances pertaining to the criminal case, relevant expert examinations have been appointed. The pre-trial investigation continues.
