Sexual Insult Led to Altercation: Simonyan on Incident with Danielyan

“It was Arthur Danielyan, likely with two members of the 'Adequates'.” Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan recounted the incident that occurred between him and Arthur Danielyan, a member of the 'Adequates' group, in an interview with 'Azatutyun'.

According to Simonyan, he recognized one of the attackers. While walking, he was subjected to a sexual insult, which prompted a physical confrontation. As a result, Simonyan stated, it is likely that Danielyan suffered injuries to his nose and facial area. The Deputy Speaker assesses his health condition as normal.

When asked if he had contacted the police, Simonyan replied, “I am currently with the police.”

Earlier, Konstantin Ter-Nakalyan, a member of the 'Adequates' group, posted a photo of Arthur Danielyan on his Facebook page with a caption stating, “Alen Simonyan attacked Arthur Danielyan while he was walking in the street.”

In turn, independent MP Arman Babajanyan also mentioned on his Facebook page that Deputy Speaker Alen Simonyan was attacked.
