Police Chief Was at the Scene of Gunfire, No One Killed in Medical Center: Police Statement

The police issued a statement yesterday regarding the incidents that occurred in Gavarr. The statement specifically notes:

No one was killed in the medical center, and we call on the media not to publish unverified information.

On April 28, around 17:40, incidents took place in Gavarr that resulted in two fatalities and injuries. Police operational-investigative teams are conducting necessary actions. Efforts are being made to clarify all circumstances of the incident. An investigation is underway within the framework of the initiated criminal case.

There have also been arrests related to the incidents, including the gunfire and subsequent events.

It should be noted that the media has been publishing unverified information concerning the incident. Furthermore, it was mentioned that there was an attack on the hospital, and at that moment, the Chief of Police of Armenia was present there.

However, the Police Chief was at the scene of the gunfire around the university area, not at the hospital, and no one was killed in the medical center. We urge the media not to publish unverified information. Additional information regarding the case will be provided.
