Lifelong Prisoner Released
Stepan Grigoryan, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, was released today ahead of schedule. This was reported by A1+.
Just moments ago, judge Armen Hovhannisyan of the Armavir regional court ruled to grant early release to Stepan Grigoryan, who has spent 25 years in confinement.
Grigoryan's representative, lawyer Robert Revazyan, stated that the court's decision has been implemented and he will be free very soon.
It is worth mentioning that Stepan Grigoryan was sentenced to death in 1996 for his involvement in a murder. However, on August 1, 2003, under a decree by Robert Kocharian, the death penalty was commuted to life imprisonment.
