Levon Markos Accuses Tigran Sargsyan of Organizing Operation to Seize His Assets
The newspaper "Joghount" reports: Russian businessman Levon Markos, who has repeatedly claimed that he was exploited during the previous government, has shared remarkable information in an interview with the "Joghount" newspaper. He stated that it was former Central Bank president Tigran Sargsyan who became a tool for the previous government and organized the operation to seize his assets. There are striking facts... The Central Bank, aside from making written promises, took no other steps and did not attempt to restore the lost right of $6 million. Naturally, I declined to transfer the $5.6 million. Central Bank president Tigran Sargsyan brazenly approached the court, and the court issued a clearly illegal judicial act to recover that money from me.
It should be noted that we are talking about Tigran Sargsyan, the former president of the Central Bank of Armenia, former Prime Minister, and currently the Deputy Chairman of the Eurasian Development Bank.
"Joghount" has learned that a criminal case has been initiated at the Special Investigative Service of Armenia regarding the businessman’s statements, and an investigation is ongoing. Time will tell what results this will yield.
