Administrative Fines Imposed on Two Small Hydroelectric Power Plants

The Environmental and Mining Inspection Body informs that due to inspections conducted by the staff of the Gegharkunik Territorial Division at the "Daranak" Small Hydroelectric Power Plant, owned by "HEK Shin" LLC, it was revealed that the power plant extracted water without a water meter. The director of the "Daranak" SHPP, Laret Gevorgyan, was issued an order to eliminate the violations and was also fined 200,000 AMD.

Meanwhile, staff from the Syunik Territorial Division inspected the water intake point of the "Kantegh" SHPP, owned by "Geliyeghuzan" LLC, and recorded that the company fails to comply with the obligations established by the water use permit, specifically not ensuring the ecological release of the water resource at the intake point. An administrative fine of 200,000 AMD was imposed on the director of "Geliyeghuzan" LLC, Argishti Babayan.
