Nicholas Advises Arteta to Part Ways with Mkhitaryan

Contracts for Chris Smalling and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who are on loan at Roma, will conclude on June 30. However, the Roman club has reached an agreement with Arsenal and Manchester United to keep the players at the team until the end of the season, even if it extends beyond the end of June due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Roma is also seeking to negotiate player transfers, but Arsenal and Manchester United are demanding no less than €20 million.

Moreover, former Arsenal player Charlie Nicholas has advised Arsenal's head coach Mikel Arteta to let go of midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and German defender Shkodran Mustafi. Nicholas stated, “Arteta will want to offload 5-6 players as he needs funds for team restructuring. You can get rid of Mustafi and Mkhitaryan; this will help retain Aubameyang,” as quoted by sportsmole.co.uk.
