Ambulance Transporting Critically Ill Patient in Yerevan Involved in Accident, Injuries Reported
Today, on April 19, an accident occurred in Yerevan. According to Shamsyan.com, around 09:20, vehicles with license plates 36 RO 290 (Opel) and 662 AO 61 (Haise) collided at the intersection of Bagratuniats and Chekhov streets.
As a result of the collision, both the critically ill patient being transported by the ambulance and the paramedic sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital.
The police are investigating the identities of the drivers and the injured parties. Citizens gathered at the scene stated: “We were stopped at the intersection when we heard the siren from the ambulance coming from the direction of Dzerreteli. Approaching the Chekhov intersection, we saw that the ambulance had switched on both the siren and the lights, and if the Opel had been more attentive, especially since it was on the main road and could hear the siren, this accident could have been avoided.”
