After Accident Involving Toyota Camry and Lada, Lada Driver and Passengers Assault Toyota Driver

On April 18, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 22:00, at the intersection of Safaryan and Vakhtang streets, a collision took place between a Toyota Camry, driven by 42-year-old Artashes N. from Yerevan, with license plate number 51 SZ 005, and a Lada vehicle with license plate number M 079 MK 750 RUS, driven by an unidentified individual.

According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, who reported from the scene, there were fortunately no injuries as a result of the accident. However, a group of people who emerged from the Lada assaulted the driver of the Toyota and his passenger, who was reportedly an older individual. They struck him, shattered the rear and front windows of the vehicle, kicked the car, and then fled the scene.

Police managed to locate the fleeing vehicle with Russian license plates just about 700 meters from the incident site within minutes. The Toyota driver underwent a sobriety test on site, revealing that he was sober. The police are taking necessary operational and investigative measures to identify the Lada driver and the individuals with him.
