Murder by Firearm: Male Body Discovered in Porsche Cayenne in Gegharkunik

In the Gegharkunik region, a murder involving a firearm occurred today, April 17. At approximately 10:20 am, the operational management center of the Gegharkunik regional police received a call about a man's body found in a Porsche Cayenne with a transit license plate on the Tsovagyugh-Shorzha-Vardenis highway.

According to Shamshyan.com, police and investigators discovered the body of 36-year-old Gegham Abrahamyan, a resident of the Nor Nork 9th district, inside the vehicle. The forensic expert's report indicates that he sustained firearm injuries. Considering the severity of the crime, prosecutors from the Gegharkunik regional prosecutor's office also arrived at the scene.

While the forensic doctor was working on-site, the Gegharkunik police tracked down and arrested 32-year-old Arthur Kirakosyan, a resident of the region, on suspicion of committing the murder. Law enforcement officials also recovered the weapon used in the crime. The suspect, A. Kirakosyan, was apprehended based on the investigator's decision.
