Defense Ministry Employees Steal Aid Intended for the Poor: 'HayZhoghovurt'
'HayZhoghovurt' newspaper reports: 'On April 14, NA MP Sipan Pashinyan announced on social media that 'we are providing social support to approximately 1,100 underprivileged families by delivering essential food products funded by Andranik Ghazaryan, a businessman residing in Ukraine.' It turns out that the food supplies intended for the school caught the attention of employees from the RA Ministry of Defense, who decided to steal the bags allocated for the poor during the night.
According to information received by 'HayZhoghovurt' newspaper, on the night of April 14, the night guard of Ijevan city’s School No. 4, Karen Mkrtumyan, alerted the police, stating that aid supplies were present in the school and some individuals had attacked him and taken some of the products out of the building. It was later revealed that the theft was committed by Defense Ministry employees Gegham Sarukhanyan, Garik Petrosyan, and another Defense Ministry employee, Erik Meliksetyan, who were apprehended.
It is worth noting that this act is inexcusable; during these times of pandemic, food supplies are being gathered for the poor, and some individuals decide to steal it to meet their own needs.'
