Central Bank Governor Vote to Take Place Tomorrow
The Parliament discussed the nomination for the head of the Central Bank of Armenia for nearly 6 hours. The parliamentary committee on financial and budgetary issues proposed the candidacy of Martin Galstyan for the position of Central Bank Governor.
Ararat Mirzoyan stated that according to the rules of procedure of the National Assembly, the Central Bank Governor is elected by secret ballot with at least three-fifths of the votes from the total number of deputies.
The head of the counting commission, Vahe Hakobyan, also noted that the vote will take place on April 17, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
