Marijuana Found During Search of Woman Detained by the Police in Mashtots

Police officers from the Mashtots division, acting on operational intelligence, have detained a resident of Ararat province on charges of drug possession and use. The woman was taken to the police station from Halabyan Street.

During a personal search, more than 10 grams of a greenish substance was discovered. According to the Public Relations and Information Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, the woman claimed that the substance found was marijuana, which she was keeping for personal use.

An examination has been commissioned, and materials are being prepared. The individual suspected of the alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, based on a legally binding court judgment.
