Araik Harutyunyan Will Be Able to Ensure the Security of Artsakh: Armenian President

The President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, had a phone conversation with the elected President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan.

President Sarkissian congratulated Araik Harutyunyan on succeeding in the second round of presidential elections in Artsakh and being elected to the high office of President of the Republic of Artsakh.

President Sarkissian noted that Araik Harutyunyan is taking office during a very challenging and responsible time for Artsakh, due to the events occurring worldwide and particularly the complex geopolitical processes unfolding in our region.

“The Republic of Artsakh has once again proven to be a developed country with its governing bodies and, most importantly, its citizens. Today, more than ever, we need to be united and cohesive,” said the Armenian President.

Armen Sarkissian expressed confidence that Araik Harutyunyan will be able to strengthen an atmosphere of solidarity and tolerance in Artsakh, organize and ensure the security of Artsakh, foster economic and political development, and unite the people around common goals.
