Covid-19: Davit Tonoyan and the Russian Ambassador Familiarize with the Results of Initial Sampling

The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Davit Tonoyan, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia in Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin, met on April 11 to review the operations of the mobile laboratory for Covid-19 testing opened in Yerevan.

The head of the defense ministry conversed with the personnel servicing the mobile laboratory, familiarized himself with the results of the initial sampling, and expressed interest in the capabilities of the pre-decontaminated laboratory.

The mobile laboratory was delivered to Armenia as a result of an agreement between the defense ministers of the two countries.

Also present in Armenia are specialists from the Russian Armed Forces, aimed at assisting the prevention of the spread of the novel coronavirus and organizing anti-epidemic measures, as well as sharing their experience and knowledge with Armenian counterparts in this area. Officers from the RA Armed Forces' Military Medical Department are already conducting laboratory research together with their Russian colleagues, holding training sessions, and discussing the organization of ongoing work.

The Covid-19 testing mobile laboratory transferred to Armenia can conduct research in any terrain and under challenging weather conditions, ensuring 99% accuracy in the tests performed.
