City Hall Leadership Has Not Transferred My Bonus, Employee Says

The specialist of the Property Management Department of the Yerevan City Hall and the chairman of the Republican Party's Yerevan Council, Narek Tadevosyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "Dear friends and fellow citizens, I previously informed you that I intended to transfer my quarterly bonus entirely to the doctors and medical institutions fighting on the front lines of the pandemic, urging my colleagues to join my spontaneous initiative. My intention was the most logical and humane: to help our devoted doctors and express my gratitude to them.

Unfortunately, I must announce that what happened was probably expected. The leadership of City Hall has decided to prevent this act of goodwill. They have singled out my name from the staff and have not transferred the bonus amount that is due to me. Incidentally, in my opinion, this deliberate step was taken to artificially create a favorable situation for not following my example and for refraining from refusing their bonuses and not transferring funds themselves."
