Georgia and the United States are working together to repatriate 79 Georgian students who have been in the U.S. for educational programs. Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia announced this during a meeting with reporters, stating that 35 Armenian students will also return to their homeland on the same flight.
Among the 35 Armenian students mentioned by Gakharia are participants of the FLEX educational exchange program currently in the U.S. One of them shared with "Voice of America" that they were unexpectedly sent home due to the spread of coronavirus, interrupting their program two months early.
